ATB's Jeffrey Adelson, General Counsel and Managing Partner, National Practice Group presented at the Business Insurance 2017 Diversity & Inclusion Institute which was held at the Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The topic for Mr. Adelson's presentation was "Change Champions: How Inclusive Culture Improves Customer Experience."
The Business Insurance Diversity & Inclusion Institute Conference is produced annually to educate professionals throughout the commercial insurance industry about the business case for diversity and inclusion. The theme of the 2017 conference was: “Maximize Your Bottom Line: How Inclusive Cultures Pay Off.” It addressed ways insurers, brokers and other industry organizations could create more inclusive work environments that foster greater employee productivity, improve customer engagement and enhance profitability. Attendees also learned how to develop cultural competence to succeed in today’s global marketplace. Created with input from corporate risk managers—the industry’s target market—the conference also featured panel discussions on what buyers seek from their insurance industry partners and what industry service providers are doing to meet those demands. Other sessions featured key teaching points from companies that have been identified as among the “Best Places to Work for Diversity & Inclusion.”
