Mr. McLean is the Managing Partner of Adelson, Testan, Brundo, Novell & Jimenez's Civil Litigation Department. He handles a full complement of civil litigation matters, including liability defense, employment discrimination, transportation defense, Cal/OSHA Investigations, and subrogation cases.

He graduated from The University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law as a Member of the John J. Traynor Honor Society, and was admitted to the California State Bar in the year 2000. He is admitted to practice before the California Superior Court; the United States District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of California; and the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Upon admission, Mr. McLean was hired by a large California firm that specialized in workers' compensation, labor and employment matters, as well as subrogation actions. He then broadened his practice to include representing employers and insurers in cases arising under the federal Longshore Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA).

Mr. McLean’s present practice focuses on defending wrongful death actions; catastrophic injury cases; transportation defense; complaints filed under the Fair Employment Housing Act (FEHA); Cal/OSHA Investigations; and corporations, employers and insurance carriers in subrogation lawsuits. 

Michael has prevailed in appellate matters heard before the State of California Courts of Appeal and the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has tried cases to jury verdict and has obtained binding arbitration awards in favor of his clients.

Michael lectures before professional associations on liability defense matters and insurance coverage trends in California litigation. His clients include multinational corporations in the oil, pharmaceutical and medical device industries; national transportation companies; and local employers.
