Ms. Beyer is a seasoned Workers' Compensation Attorney. She has practiced workers' compensation defense and related areas since 1989. She is a Certified Specialist Workers Compensation State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Her areas of practice are Workers' Compensation, Subrogation, Longshore and Labor and Employment Law. In addition to being a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the State Bar of California, she is also a member of the Labor and Employment Law and Law Practice Management and Technology sections of the State Bar of California. Ms. Beyer has also served as a judge pro tem for the Workers Compensation Appeals Board and the Los Angeles Municipal Court Temporary Judge Program.

Ms. Beyer is very active within the legal community. She was recently appointed by the Board of Governors of the State Bar of California to the Executive Committee of the Law Practice Management and Technology for 2006 - 2009. In 2005 she was a member of the Task Force of the Board of Governor's of the State Bar of California. From 2002 -2004 she served as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Worker's Compensation Section, State Bar of California. During that time she also served as the Co-Vice Chair and then Co-Chair of the Council of Sections, State Bar of California. Ms. Beyer was a member of the Executive Committee of the Worker's Compensation Section of the State Bar of California from 1998 to 2004.

Ms. Beyer has also taught in two different capacities: as a teacher for Intermediate Litigation for State Compensation Insurance Fund adjusters and as a Professor with San Diego State University's College of Extended Studies in Telecommunication. She is a past member of the San Diego State University's Advisory Committee for Telecommunications Certificate Program.
