Mr. McMurry graduated from Bullard High School in Fresno, California in 1989. During high school, he earned the distinction of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He then attended California State University. He then served in the United States Marine Corps. He then completed his studies in philosophy at Brigham Young University, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993. Mr. McMurry was then admitted to Pepperdine University School of Law, where he completed his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1997. Mr. McMurry was admitted as an Attorney and Counselor of Law with the Supreme Court of the State of California in 1999. He is currently a member in good standing of the State Bar of California, as well as the Fresno County Bar Association. He is a Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation from the State Bar of California.
Following completion of his legal studies at Pepperdine University, Mr. McMurry associated with the law firm of McCollum, Bayer & Bunch, where he practiced civil litigation before the United States Bankruptcy Court, the Fresno County Superior Court, and the United States Court of Claims. In 1999, Mr. McMurry commenced the practice of Workers' Compensation Insurance Defense, Subrogation and Appellate Practice by association with the law firm of Mullen & Filippi, LLP. He would continue in his pursuit of Worker's Compensation Insurance Defense following his association with Adelson, Testan, Brundo, Brundo, & Jimenez. Mr. McMurry has provided lectures to major insurance companies on Workers' Compensation related matters, and has choreographed Educational Programs of great benefit to the Workers' Compensation Community in the Central Valley of California.
