Marie Rose Bloomer

Ms. Bloomer was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey in 1979. Since then, her involvement in the field has been varied and rich. In 1995, she was appointed to the Division of Workers' Compensation Commission on Judicial Performance and has been the Chair since 2002. Also since 2002, Ms. Bloomer has served as a New Jersey State Bar Association Section/Committee Trustee, with the further appointment as the Workers' Compensation Section Trustee Liaison and the Legislative Committee Trustee Liaison.

Furthering her contributions to the NJSBA, Marie Rose became part of the Legislative Committee in 1998, where she sat as Vice Chair from 2003 to 2004, Chair from 2004 to 2005 and Co-Chair from 2006 to present. She participated on the NJSBA Meetings Arrangements and Program Committee, as well, as Vice Chair from 2003 -2005 and Chair from 2005 to 2006 and remains as a committee member to date. Ms. Bloomer's leadership and expertise is additionally showcased on the NJSBA's Election Committee where she has been Chair since 2006 to present and the NJSBA's Long Term Planning Committee, Finance and Operations Committee and Workers' Compensation Section Executive Committee, the latter having her as a member for over fifteen years.

Ms. Bloomer's commitment to the NJSBA Workers' Compensation Section included eight years as Secretary, Vice Chair, Chair Elect and Chair. She served on the Workers' Compensation Section Liaison Committee to the Director of the Division of Workers' Compensation from 1987 through 1995. NJSBA Insurance Law Section claimed her as a member from 1995 to 2000 just after she served on the Commissioner of Labor's Advisory Council from 1991 to 1993. For her accomplishments and dedication, Ms. Bloomer received a Proclamation from the Department of Labor for her work with the Division of Workers' Compensation and the Department of Labor while Chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of the NJSBA from 1993 through 1995.
