Bio

J.R. Webster Cucovatz is a graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications in 2008. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law in Orange, CA in 2012. At Chapman Law, he graduated with an emphasis in International Law and served as Articles Editor of the Chapman Law Review.

J.R. began his career defending Federal Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act claims in the Ports of Long Beach, Los Angeles, Huaneme and San Diego. He joined Testan Law in 2015. His practice includes all aspects of Workers' Compensation defense.

J.R. has particular expertise in the handling of complex claims brought by former professional athletes, having extensive experience defending the interests of professional sports teams and their insurance carriers against claims brought by former professional athletes.
