Gina M. Jacobs has been in the in the insurance industry since 1994. She began her career as a Florida workers’ compensation insurance adjuster and has over 13 years of claims adjusting experience having worked for two global third party administrators and a national insurance carrier.
Ms. Jacobs attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida where she graduated with cum laude honors with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Public Communications in 2006. She attended law school at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She had the distinction of being a member of two trial teams and competed in two regional mock trial competitions for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, also known as the American Association for Justice, and Black Law Students Association. In 2008, Gina was first runner up for the Rising Star Scholarship with the Broward County Women Lawyers Association. While in law school, Ms. Jacobs worked as a radio station executive for WLAW Radio and hosted a bi-weekly talk show for several years. In 2009, Ms. Jacobs graduated from law school with pro bono honors for her volunteer work in New Orleans in the after math of hurricane Katrina, and legal aid efforts in Broward County. She also had the distinguished honor of being the commencement speaker at her law school graduation in May 2009.
Ms. Jacobs began her legal career working for an insurance defense firm where she worked for several years, with her practice focused on workers’ compensation defense litigation. She is also a licensed instructor with the State of Florida and teaches Continuing Education Credit courses. Ms. Jacobs is a 2012 and 2013 recipient of an Excellence Award from InTouch Magazine, recognized for superior legal services by the insurance industry.
Gina Jacobs is the Managing Attorney of ATB Law in Orlando, Florida. When not defending her clients, Ms. Jacobs enjoys traveling and spending time with her two dogs.
